New Pleasure

With the arrival of New Pleasure VDL, the VDL Stud welcomes a young talent with proven genes.\r\nThis KWPN premium stallion was one of the eye-catchers of the KWPN Stallion Show 2021, not least because of his fantastic pedigree. In the KWPN Performance Test, New Pleasure VDL proved to be the absolute top scores with no less than 87.5 points. The impressive chestnut stallion stood out from the rest by a distance.\r\nSire For Pleasure jumped ridden by both Lars Nieberg and Marcus Ehning to Olympic team gold in 1996 and 2000 and became one of the most influential stallions of all time. The same goes for grandsire Diamant de Semilly, who ridden by Eric Levallois won team gold at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Vejer de la Frontera. Great-grandsire Darco is the next big name in New Pleasure VDL’s pedigree; not to mention great-great-grandsire Quidam de Revel.\r\n\r\nThe modern chestnut stallion New Pleasure VDL is bred out of Lady-A ter Putte, who competed at 1.45m-level with Andres Vereecke. She already produced the Zangersheide approved stallions Quick Star ter Putte and Rock Star ter Putte. Lady-A ter Putte is also the full sister of the famous Elvis ter Putte. Ridden by Karline De Brabander, Elvis was successful at Grand Prix level for many years and in breeding he is one of the best sires by Diamant de Semilly.\r\nHis full brother Favorit Ask is especially popular in Denmark and is seen as a true foundation stallion. Grandam Ukase ter Putte also produced MoM's Isaura - a daughter of Tinka's Boy. Ridden by Ireland’s Cameron Hanley this mare competed at the highest level and later on represented Mexico ridden by Jose Antonio Chedraui Prom. Recently, the breeding syndicate Mares of Macha became the owner of Isaura and she is nowadays ridden by top rider Pieter Devos.\r\nNew Pleasure VDL's great-granddam Quinette ter Putte also produced the famous Skyhorse, who ridden by Lillie Keenan is one of the best showjumpers in the United States.\r\n

Palmares

New Pleasure has an excellent type and modern way of jumping; he excels with athletic ability, great reflexes and intelligence when jumping. In the KWPN Performance Test his potential really showed; New Pleasure scored no less than 87.5 points. For his scope, rideability and talent he received a 9.0. 
 

In the stallion competition he excelled with a hat- trick under Hessel Hoekstra in De Peelbergen, Lichtenvoorde and Groningen.
