Silverstone is the first approved son of Champion du Lys, who won many Grand Prix with Ludger Beerbaum, and also the Derby of Hamburg. His sire, Laeken, also jumped internationally, and is, just like Le Mexico, a son of the Furioso xx son Mexico. Furthermore, we find the twice-Olympic stallion Carthago, who also sires strongly in the jumping direction. Then the Ramiro x Gotthard son, Renomee, also sired more international jumping horses. The thoroughbreds Thuswin xx and Anblick xx provide for the necessary blood.

The dam Marthago is a real Holstein breeding mare. She became “Keur” and she received in her EPTM test three times an 8 and a 9 for jumping. Grand dam Aline is the dam of the stallion Laralle and the international jumping horse Corniola.

Silverstone received during the Stallion Test the highest points ever for jumping in years; to wit: scope 9 - technique 81/2 - power 91/2 and talent for jumping - 9. He finished in jumping in 1st place and in the total classification in 3rd place.
