In the bloodlines of Westpoint we find the stallion Jazz, the number one dressage sire in the world and sire to horses like Parzival and Premier. Grandfather Michelangelo was ‘Trakehner stallion of the Year’ and we find him more and more in the bloodlines of good dressage horses. His son Just Mickey competed at the Olympic Games in Athens. Also Le Mexico and Cadmus xx proved themselves as breeding stallions; they both produced good breeding mares and sport horses.
Westpoint’s mother is an ‘Elite, Preferent’ mare and scored very well at her mare test; she scored an 8.5 for her canter. Westpoint’s full sister Vita received a very high score of 87 points for her IBOP and placed 9th in the final of the PAVO Cup for 5 year old horses. Grand dam is a ‘Ster, Preferent’ mare and is also the Granddam of the Z2 dressage horse Jakko. Grand Granddam is Great grand dam of the ZZl dressage horse M and the at ‘Z’ level dressage horses Ruplimaine and Rilinda.
Westpoint was the Reserve-Champion at the Stallion approvals in Den Bosch, and he was Dressage Champion of the 70 day test of his age group.
Convincingly Westpoint won the World Championship for 6 year old horses in Verden. He showed exceptionally in all areas. For his walk he received a 9, for his trot an 8.8, for his canter a 9.5 and the total impression was rated with a 9. The average score was a 9.
He also was Dutch Champion of the 4 year old dressage horses and Reserve Champion of the 5 year old dressage horses. He was provincial Champion of the Z2 dressage and reserve Champion of the Stallion Competition in the Z Dressage.
His first crop is doing well at the foal shows. One of his sons is selected for the KWPN Stallion test. El Diva was provincial Champion of the Foals and Exelent K placed 3rd. Elwenda was chosen as the best dressage foal at the Foal Show of Harich. In 2007 Covergirl Sijgje placed 3rd in the final of the Dutch foal Championship. In 2008 two of his foals were selected for the final of the Dutch foal Championship: son Dubai placed 3rd and daughter Doutzen placed 14th in the final. Dubai also became Champion at the foalshow of Tolbert. Diarona T was Champion of the foalshow in Harich and Res. Champion at the provincial championships.
