Atlantic is an impressive stallion with a sire line that consists of top horses relating to jumper breeding. Accord II is the father of Acorado and Lord is father of many legendary jumpers like Livius, Lugana II and Loreana. Calando l was a Grand Prix jumper.
The dam of Atlantic is Diana, she is a full sister of the sire and International jumper Lord Z. She is also the dam of Atlantic’s full brother: In Style was with his rider Ian Miller Canadian Champion and 2008 Olympic Team Silver Medallist.
Atlantic’s performances were very good. At the age of 6, Atlantic won several important titles: Friesland Champion at Z level jumping, Dutch Champion Z level jumping and Champion of the Bundeschampionat for 6 year old jumping horses. At the age of 7, he became Reserve Champion at Z and ZZ level jumping at the Dutch Championships.
In his international career Atlantic was ridden by Jur Vrieling and Wout Jan van der Schans. He won the Grand Prix of Frankfurt and was placed in the following Grand Prix: 6th in Drammen, 6th in Eindhoven, 2nd in Villach, 6th in Alençon, 2nd in Gera and 2nd in Sires of the World in Lanaken, 5th in Bordeaux, 7th in World Cup in Vigo, 7th in Manheim, 7th in Cervia, 7th in Maastricht etc.
His offspring have the same quality: they jump with ease and lots of scope. His sons Val d’Isere and Vegas are approved by the KWPN. Val d’Isere is very successful in Australia and Vegas is competing very well in the KWPN Stallion competition. Glen Devon won a 1.40 m class in Devon and son Viper won a Championship for 6 year olds in the USA. In 2007 his daughter Charming-Miss was reserve Champion of the jumping bred foals at the Provincial Foal Championship of Friesland.
Atlantic is approved by the Holsteiner studbook and SBS studbook in 2007. Atlantic’s X-rays meet the criteria for the KWPN.
